John Samulski, Director
John's career in Information Technology has been focused on Spatial Data Management and Geographic Information Systems since 1990. His project history includes a broad assortment of business domains and technologies, both in Canada and internationally, particularly in the areas of land management, municipal government and transportation. He is familiar with all aspects of GIS life cycle planning and implementation within a broad range of business contexts. John has been invited to share his views on the GIS industry and related technology at a number of industry events as a presenter, moderator and panellist.
As a Director of Forte, John divides his time between business development, project management and various senior level consulting assignments.
David van Blankenstein, Director
David has been using GIS professionally since 1985 and has successfully implemented complex and diverse spatial systems in such domains as air traffic control, planning, telecommunications, municipal planning, telecommunications and broadband engineering. He has extensive experience working at all of the stages of the project life cycle, from mission statement and requirements, to regression testing and deployment, to facilitation and project management. In addition to his broad skills across multiple business domains and technologies, David has developed particular expertise with data interoperability and large scale extract, transform and load implementations. He has a master's degree in computing science focused on simulation and visualization, and an MBA focused on business strategies.
As a Director of Forte, David is focused on architecture, technology and database systems and in integrating them in a pragmatic context that meets customer needs. He also participates in business development and oversees the company's finances.
Cam Trent, Senior Consultant
Cam has been professionally involved in the Information Technology industry since 1996. For the past nine years, Cam has specialized in the delivery of Spatial Data Management applications. His project experience extends to a wide array of market sectors, with particular focus on municipal government. In addition to extensive experience with the Esri product suite, Cam has developed considerable experience in a variety of development environments including Visual Basic and Java, as well as several RDBMS packages. Cam is continually enhancing his professional qualifications, most recently in the areas of the J2EE and Microsoft .NET development architectures.
As a Senior Consultant at Forte, Cam plays a key role in all aspects of project delivery from requirements definition, system design and development, to user acceptance testing, training and support.
Curtis Archer, Senior Consultant
Curtis has a distinguished record delivering spatially enabled Land Records and Land Administration solutions to a broad range of public sector clients. As a Project Leader, he has gained extensive experience with business requirements analysis and designing and implementing custom solutions that integrate such technologies as Esri, Safe Software's FME, Oracle and SQL Server.
As a Senior Consultant at Forte, Curtis has a leadership role in a broad range of project activities including requirements gathering, database design, custom application development and post implementation client support.
